It starts with you.
There is no force for change more powerful than a friend reaching out to a friend, and the best way to change the state of hunger here in our communities is to lend a hand. The Food Bank's member agencies are serving more people each year as the economic downturn continues to affect people everywhere. And the face of hunger is different than you might expect; some of the people seeking food assistance are working long hours and still having trouble making ends meet. Many are seeking help for the very first time. We believe that no one should feel ashamed to seek help, and all who can help should seek to do so. Together, we are working hard to meet the rise in requests for our services and achieve our mission, healing the hurt of hunger in our area.
